Flames engulfed House Contains Chemicals, wounds 4 people

Jakarta - Fire struck the compound housing the Radio In the RT 14 RW 03 Kelurahan Gandaria, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The fire that burned about 20 houses were from a house that contains chemicals.
"There were explosions loud enough, it might be from these chemicals," said Agus, a local RT to reporters at the scene, Thursday (17/9/2009).
Small gas cylinder explosion in the house containing chemicals are also thought to contribute enlarge explosion and flames.
Meanwhile, 4 people were taken to hospital for burns. 4 victims of identity is unknown.
AFP monitoring, at 16:45 pm, the fire was still raging. Residents also helped firefighters extinguish the fire by using water resources around the location.
Slow extinction because of access to the market area this inpers standstill, such as traffic flow from the Radio In or Pondok Indah.

Api Melalap Rumah Berisi Bahan Kimia, 4 Orang Luka

Jakarta - Kebakaran melanda perumahan di kompleks Radio Dalam RT 14 RW 03 Kelurahan Gandaria, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Api yang membakar sekitar 20 rumah itu berasal dari sebuah rumah yang berisi bahan kimia."Ada ledakan cukup keras, ya mungkin dari bahan kimia tersebut," kata Agus, ketua RT setempat kepada wartawan di lokasi kejadian, Kamis (17/9/2009).
Ledakan tabung gas kecil di sebelah rumah yang berisi bahan kimia juga diduga turut memperbesar ledakan dan nyala api.
Sementara itu, 4 orang tampak dilarikan ke rumah sakit karena luka bakar. Identitas 4 korban belum diketahui.
Pantauan detikcom, pukul 16.45 WIB, api masih terus berkobar. Warga juga turut membantu petugas pemadam kebakaran memadamkan api dengan menggunakan sumber air di sekitar lokasi.
Pemadaman berjalan lambat karena akses masuk ke kawasan pasar inpers ini macet total, seperti arus lalu lintas dari Radio Dalam atau Pondok Indah.
